Salah faham berhubung isu pelantikan menteri besar baru Perak telah selesai, kata Pengerusi DAP Perak.
Berikutan itu, katanya, semua ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (DAP) akan menghadiri majlis angkat sumpah Menteri Besar, Mohamad Nizar Jamaluddin dari PAS.

Upacara mengangkat sumpah akan berlangsung di Istana Iskandar, Kuala Kangsar pada jam 4 petang ini.Perkara itu dimaklumkan oleh Pengerusi DAP Perak, Ngeh Koo Ham kepada Malaysiakini pagi ini.Ngeh yang juga Adun Setiawan dilantik timbalan menteri besar I.Manakala jawatan timbalan menteri besar 11 akan dilantik dari kalangan wakil rakyat keturunan India.Wakil rakyat PAS Mohamad Nizar Jamaluddin dilantik sebagai Menteri Besar Perak selepas gabungan DAP-PAS-PKR berjaya menawan Perak.Mohamad Nizar, seorang jurutera, menang di kerusi Pasir Panjang dengan majoriti 4,474 undi.

Bagaimanapun, semalam, pemimpin DAP, Lim Kit Siang berkata pelantikan Nizar tidak direstui jawatankuasa eksekutif DAP.Berikutan itu, beliau berkata, Adun DAP tidak akan menghadiri upacara angkat sumpah menteri besar hari ini.

Perkara ini telah pon selesai,Lim Kit Siang's blog had a new post Apology to Perak Sultan and Regent - No offence intended . Uncle Kit was not calling for any form of boycott. The selection method for Menteri Besar was agreed by the State DAP. However, the previous post on his site just stated that the DAP CEC had yet to endorse the decision of PAS as an MB from the National DAP level. That was why the swearing-in was told to put on hold as National DAP normally supercedes State DAP decisions. Perhaps, we should all read the latest post from Uncle Kit as reprinted below.

Now, over the net, majority of chinese have begun asking Uncle Kit to reconsider supporting the PAS MB. It seems this is a great leap for the chinese community as they are able to put aside the race and religion factor . It seems many feel okay that PAS is chosen just as long as the MB is performing efficiently and fairly. Besides, DAP will have majority excos in the Dewan Undangan Negeri and PAS MB would have to succumb to their votes. So, there is check and balance. Besides, PAS did not wield keris and say they want to bathe it in blood. The previous MB of Perak was from UMNO.

It is also great to read of Malays who supported DAP in the blogs mentioned above. Uncle Kit should know it is a combination of Malay, Chinese and Indian votes that made DAP won so many seats . I would call for Uncle Kit to respect the wishes of DAP supporters. PAS has adjusted themselves to accommodate non-Muslims. Everyone should work hand in hand for the greater cause of saving the nation.

Tahniah kepada wakil rakyat PAS Pasir Panjang Ir Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, anda ditabalkan sebagai Menteri Besar Perak dibawah BARISAN RAKYAT. Pemilihan yg dibuat oleh Sultan Perak adalah tepat kerana beliau boleh berbahasa Cina Tamil dan Inggeris disamping memiliki ilmu Agama dimana beliau turut memberi kuliah dimasjid2 dan ini patut dicontohi oleh pemimpin2 yg lain.
